Non-surgical
An anti-wrinkle treatment is a non-surgical procedure that can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Wrinkles and lines form over time due to repetitive muscle movements. This a natural part of ageing.
Procedure
Anti wrinkle treatments work by relaxing particular muscles that are causing these facial wrinkles. The results are a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance.
Comfort Level
A treatment involves the injection of a small amount of an approved purified protein into a specific muscle in the face. It is relatively quick and painless.
Results
You will start to see results at 3-7 days after your treatment. The full results are visible at 2-3 weeks and should last approximately 3-4 months.
Regular treatments
Regular treatments are recommended as they will help to prevent the formation of new lines and wrinkles and may stop deeper lines from becoming even deeper.

Frequently asked questions
The price of your treatment depends on several factors including current muscle activity, the extent of ageing that has taken place, and the desired treatment area.
Price is calculated per unit, and we will discuss this with you at your consultation. There is a general price guide on the website.
Possible side effects of antiwrinkle treatments are minimal. The way we inject, the dosing we use and ensuring you stick to your post treatment care all helps to minimise these side effects. Some of the side effects include, but are not limited to:
Bruising – Small bruises are common. They can easily be concealed with makeup if needed.
Brow drooping – Rarely, Brow drooping, or ptosis, can occur when the product migrates into a muscle not intended for treatment. This can create a temporary heaviness of the forehead. We avoid this by thorough assessment and consultation, accurate dosing and specific injection techniques. Following your post treatment care guidelines will also help to avoid this temporary side effect.
Eyelid drooping – Also very rare, if the medication comes into contact with the upper eyelid muscle, the eyelid may droop temporarily. We avoid this by thorough assessment and consultation, accurate dosing and specific injection techniques. Following your post treatment care guidelines will also help to avoid this temporary side effect.
Headache – Some people experience a slight mild headache as the product begins to take effect. This is generally mild and will resolve quickly.
Don’t lie down for 4 hours post treatment. This particulary relates to not lying on your face where your facial muscles are compressed as this may alter the effect of the product placement. If possible, remain upright for 4-6 hours post treatment.
Don’t touch the injection sites for 12 hours. This ensures the product remains in the location where it was precisely placed to achieve the best effect.
No strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
Do not use a sauna or spa for 24 hours.
Don’t drink alcohol for 24 hours post treatment.
Be aware that it can take up to 14 days for the full effect of the treatment to take place. The majority of patients will notice a minor change in the strength of their muscles after 2 days, however the maximum effect occurs at 14 days and during this time there may be asymmetry which is normal.
General Care
Expect bruising – if it doesn’t happen that’s great. If it does, ice the area with a cool compress (do not place ice directly on your skin).
Be aware that alcohol, anti-inflammatories, fish oil and aspirin can increase the incidence of bruising. Be aware that you may get a headache in a small percentage of people. If pain relief is required, use panadol (if you have no allergies to panadol).
If you have any concerns regarding your treatment, or develop any symptoms or anything that concerns you in any form, please contact us in the first instance, or if it is an emergency situation or causing you extreme discomfort or any other life threatening symptoms, seek emergency treatment immediately and do not wait to contact your Medical Professional.
